ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (970 WFLA) - Police say they are monitoring a hole in the road at 34th street and 38th Avenue South.
Police say as of 3:05, the hole is reported to be six feet wide and about eight feet deep.
Southbound traffic is being diverted to 37th street.
Police say the hole is due to a problem with a storm water line. The depression is in the two outside southbound lanes of 34th Street at 38th Avenue South. Police say officers plan to leave the inside lane of 34th Street South open to traffic.
Repairs will take at least 24 hours, perhaps longer.
