TAMPA, Fla. (970 WFLA) - Mayor Bob Buckhorn hosted the third annual Mayor’s River O’Green Fest Saturday. Tampa city crews transformed the Hillsborough River into a vibrant, kelly green between Cass Street Bridge and Kennedy Bridge.

The free event ran from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and featured entertainment and activities with the dyeing of the water happening at 11:15 a.m.

The 13th Annual Bolt Run took place earlier Saturday morning at the Tampa Bay Times Forum.

In the spirit of St. Patrick, any attendee who brought three non-perishable food items received a green "Saint Patrick's Army" shirt provided by the Salvation Army. All donations benefit the Salvation Army and provide support for those in need.
