TAMPA, Fla. (970 WFLA) – Tampa Police said they are investigating a hit and run crash that happened Sunday afternoon just before 4 p.m.
Police said a family of four was attempting to cross Nebraska Ave E. while standing on the median at Fowler Ave. Then police said a woman driving a black or dark colored SUV sideswiped them as they were standing at this location. The SUV continued southbound on Nebraska Ave. and then turned eastbound on 109th Ave., police said, never stopping to help the victims.
Police said two of the victims were taken a local hospital for precautionary care and the injuries were categorized as not life-threatening with everyone sustaining some bruising and scrapes.
Police said they searched the area for the SUV, but didn’t find it.
