St. Pete Police looking for robbery suspect

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (970 WFLA) - St. Petersburg Police said they need help in identifying a robbery suspect who implied a weapon and demanded prescription medication form two separate CVS pharmacies.

Police said it happened Monday, April 21, 2014 at 3 p.m. The suspect consulted with the pharmacist about an anxiety drug at the CVS located at 845 4th St. North, police said. He left the store without incident, they said.

The same afternoon at approximately 4:05 p.m., police said the same suspect entered the CVS at 301 3rd St. South and attempted to rob the pharmacy of prescription medication. During this attempt, police said he approached the pharmacy counter, implied a firearm and passed the pharmacy tech a note written on a paper plate that demanded opiate type medications. The tech continued to help customers and the suspect left after a short period of time, police said.

After leaving the 3rd St. SouthCVS, police said he returned to the CVS at 845 4th St. North at about 4:31 p.m., approached the pharmacy counter and passed a different paper plate to the pharmacist stating that he had a gun and that he demanded prescription meds. The pharmacist complied with the demand, police said, and the suspect fled the store with an undisclosed amount of prescription medications.

Suspect Description: Male, mid 20's, 6'00", slender build, light brown hair, dark blue t-shirt and jeans
