ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (970 WFLA) - After a failed St. Pete Pier plan last year, Mayor Rick Kriseman has announced a new time frame to figure out the pier's future.
He says it'll start with a community group that will collect public opinion about the pier and what should happen to it.
Kriseman says he hopes to have a new pier open for business by 2017.
The old inverted-pyramid pier remains closed.
