(TBO.com) - Curtis Reeves’ seventh months in the Pasco County Jail came to an end on Friday when he was released from jail after a judge ruled that bail should be set.
Reeves left the Pasco County Jail in Land O’ Lakes at around 8 p.m. Around 25 family members and friends applauded for him as he walked out of the front doors of the jail. He hugged several of them.
“What a wonderful day it is for the Reeves family,” said Reeves’ attorney, Richard Escobar, outside the jail. “At the end of a long journey, he is free. He is where he should be. He is where he should have been from the beginning.”
Pasco County Circuit Court Judge Pat Siracusa stated in a motion published on Friday that Reeves, the man accused in January’s Pasco County theater shooting, should be released with bail set at $150,000.
