SPRING HILL, Fla. (970 WFLA) – More information is coming into the 970 WFLA newsroom after a fire destroys a double-wide home in Pasco County and leaves five people injured including two children, according to PCFR Chief Andrew Fossa. 

Firefighters said they were called to the scene along 18815 Old Shady Hills Road around 6:40 a.m.

Preliminary information shows seven people were in the home, a county official said. That official confirmed the ages of the occupants are an 80 y/o male, 63 y/o male, 61 y/o female, 42 y/o female, 35 y/o male, 5 y/o male, and 6 y/o male. County and fire officials said several pets were inside the home, but it's unclear what the status of their conditions is.

Firefighters said two children were airlifted to Tampa General Hospital as a trauma alert. Three adults were also taken to the hospital. Fossa said two other adults were not injured. 

Officials said 13 units responded from Pasco Fire Rescue, one unit from Hernando Fire, and two rescue units from Hernando Fire. 

Crews said they will be on scene for a while due to extensive overhaul needing to be completed.
