TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA.com) - A jury recommended the death penalty in November for convicted cop killer Dontae Morris. Now, a judge will listen to more testimony before deciding if Morris should be put to death or spend the rest of his days in prison.

Morris shot Tampa Police Officers David Curtis and Jeffrey Kocab at a traffic stop on June 29, 2010. Law enforcement officers from across the state came to Tampa to help search for him.

The officers' wives told the jury how difficult life has been since that day, at a sentencing hearing in November.
