Centerplate CEO resigns after puppy kicking incident

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA.com) - The CEO at the center of a puppy kicking incident resigned his position at Centerplate Inc.

An elevator security camera captured video of Desmond Hague repeatedly kicking a friend's puppy.

Centerplate provides food services, such as catering and concessions for Tropicana Field and the Florida State Fair.

Centerplate's board of directors announced today that Chris Verros has been appointed to the role of acting president and chief executive officer effective immediately following the resignation of Hague from the company.
