TAMPA, Fla. (970 WFLA) – Tampa Police are investigating a car that crashed into a building on Busch Boulevard.

It happened just after 3:30 a.m. at 46th St and Busch.

Two women, one in her early 20s and another in her early 30s, have serious injuries, according to police.

Police say the car was heading westbound on Busch Blvd when it lost control, skidded across the concrete median, crossed the eastbound lanes, and then struck the building at 4609 E. Busch Blvd (Achievement Center for Early Learning) leaving what police call ‘substantial damage’ to the front of the building.

Police say both women were transported to TGH as trauma alerts.

The owner of the building is responding and it is unknown if the achievement center will be open for business today, police said.
