12 condos damaged in Tampa, families displaced

TAMPA, Fla. (970 WFLA) – Hillsborough fire officials say two deputies and two firefighters were taken to the hospital for smoke related injuries after battling an apartment fire.

It happened around 11:15 p.m. Wednesday on the 12400 block of Orange Blossom Oak in Tampa.

Firefighters say 12 units were lost to the fire. The American Red Cross was on scene to help with the displacement of those families. No one else was injured, firefighters said.

Firefighters say a dog was rescued from a first floor condo.

They’re still investigating the fire.
